PRESERVING YOUR FAMILY HISTORY

Photo & Memorabilia Scanning

Our Michigan-based digitizing capabilities go beyond photo scanning services. Most of us have other special printed materials that we'd like to preserve and share. Think family recipes, letters, ancestry documents and children's artwork. Print materials are professionally scanned and converted to quality JPG files and therefore viewed on digital devices. They are stored in a digital file format that can easily be shared. Expertise and care go into each individual print scanning project. Our archiving specialists have been safely preserving printed memories for decades at our Bloomfield Hills and West Bloomfield, MI facilities.

Don't Wait Until It's Too Late

Printed photos and memorabilia are more fragile than we like to think. A house fire, a flooded basement, or simply the passage of time can erase decades of family history. Once digitized, your files can be stored in multiple locations, shared with family members near and far, and enjoyed on any device — so your memories survive whatever life brings.

FAQ: Photo Scanning Services

Not at all — we're happy to accept shoeboxes, bins, bags, and everything in between. If you've been putting this project off because your photos aren't perfectly sorted, don't let that stop you. Just bring them in as-is and we'll take it from there. The one thing to keep in mind: if you'd like your photos scanned in a specific order, please make sure they arrive in that order, as we'll scan them in the sequence we receive them.
We can scan just about any flat, two-dimensional printed material that fits on a scanner. That includes loose photographs, mounted or framed prints, postcards, letters, documents, scrapbook pages, recipes, artwork, awards, certificates, and newspaper clippings. If you have something unique or unusual, just bring it in and we'll let you know what's possible.
Your digitized files are delivered as high-quality JPG images in the format that works best for you. We offer delivery via USB flash drive, external hard drive, digital download, DVD, or CD. We recommend a USB drive for most customers — it's easy to use, easy to share, and simple to back up. All of your original materials are returned to you once the project is complete.
Never. All scanning is completed in-house at our Bloomfield Hills and West Bloomfield, MI facilities by our own trained archiving specialists. Your irreplaceable materials are handled only by our team from the moment you drop them off to the moment you pick them up. We never ship your photos to an outside facility — because we know how much they mean to you.
Turnaround time depends on the size of your project, but we'll give you a clear estimate when you drop off. Smaller collections can often be completed within a few days, while larger projects may take a bit longer. We never rush the process — every image gets the attention it deserves — and we'll keep you updated along the way.
Absolutely — and it's one of the best things about going digital. Once your photos are scanned, making copies for family members is easy and affordable. We can provide additional USB drives so grandparents, siblings, and children each have their own copy to keep. It's a wonderful gift, and a smart way to make sure your family's history is preserved in more than one place.
